Today we took the boys to the club to find some activities to do despite the rain.
We got some great exercise in the multi-purpose court
playing basketball and running. Even Braden got in on the action. As hoped, both boys fell sound asleep in the car on the way home and had great naps.
Joel and I then went to a movie, an American movie! We saw "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock. It is amazing how going to a movie can make us feel like we are back in the States for a few hours. Of course, you are quickly thrusted back into India when you exit the movie. For some reason, they think it's a great idea to have you exit the movie by going outside the theater. So, instead of just leaving the movie and going back into the lobby to exit, they have you walk down these back stairs and you end up outside the theater, outside the mall, in an area that is in the middle of construction, and right next to the trash dump for the mall (which might I add is swarming with flies and street dogs). Luckily, it wasn't pouring rain when we came out or we would have had to deal with that too. So now, you have to step through the construction, over the trash, avoiding the puddles, and go all the way through security again (metal detectors and bag checks) just to get back into the theater. On top of it, they made me take some things out of my purse that aren't allowed in the theater (cameras and gum), so we had to go back to the theater to get those items. What makes it even better, is that they had 3 of the escalators shut down. So, Joel and I went up and down the stairs 3-4 times trying to figure out how to get back to the theater to get our things. Gotta love how nothing is easy in India!

Love you Bec! Isn't that a GREAT movie? I'm glad you were able to relax and enjoy your time together!
Becca, you guys are really making the very best of your current place of residence! I was just saying that last night to J, you guys are troopers and the more we read your blog, the more we think you guys are unbelievable!!!
