Shopping in Jodhpur

This morning we got up and went shopping! We went to the warehouse of the store we had been at the day before. It was really quite amazing. They had a HUGE building with antique furniture, furniture made from antique wood, new furniture made to replicate the antique furniture, and just new furniture. All the antique stuff was great. They had a whole warehouse full of trunks and book shelves, another with tables and drawers, another with knickknacks, and lots more rooms. We wandered for almost an hour and hadn’t even seen a tiny bit of the place. We ended up buying a book shelf that will eventually go in Joel’s office in the States. It is made with carved antique wood and is beautiful. We also got a cabinet to hold our shoes so Braden stops trying to eat them all the time. Plus we got 2 wall plaques that are carved with an Indian scene on them. We found one more item that we will probably go back for before we leave…an old carved wooden door or arch that we would use as decoration. We decided to hold off on it for now. It was really fun shopping though and I don’t even like to shop! Unfortunately, our vacation had come to an end. We left the shops and went to the airport. It was wonderful to get to see the boys. Gavin ran up and gave me a huge hug and kiss. His hugs are great. I always grab him and rock him back and forth and sigh. When he gives big hugs, he tries to rock me back and forth and makes the same sigh. I love that he knows how to give real hugs and kisses now! Braden was also so thrilled to see us. I missed those guys. The next day Joel left India for 13 days in the States. We stayed behind this time because we will be there in August.
